Information Specifically For You

Freshmen Students

Flagler College Email Account

After you have submitted your enrollment deposit, the Technology Services department will email login credentials for your Flagler College email account and MyFlagler account to the email address we have on file. Please log-in to both as soon as you receive this information. All official Flagler College communication will be sent to your Flagler College email address once you've received your login credentials so you should get in the habit of checking this account regularly. If you lost or misplaced this information, please contact Technology Services online or reach Technology Services by phone at (904) 819-6293. We also encourage you to join our Flagler College Class of 2022 or Flagler College Class of 2023 Facebook pages to meet some of your fellow students and key college staff.

Math Placement Exam

Following the submission of your deposit, you will receive an email from Dr. Kurt Sebastian, Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Technology, with information on Flagler’s math placement exam. Please read the email carefully and follow the instructions for completing the placement exam and the survey. You should complete the placement exam as soon as possible. You will not be cleared to register for classes until this is completed. Incoming students who have completed at least one math course at the college level before arriving are not required to take the placement exam.

eCheckup to Go

Students will receive an email with a link to online courses related to alcohol and marijuana use, as well as sexual violence prevention. All of these short surveys must be completed before you will be cleared to register for classes.

Please note it may take up to a week after your deposit for these emails to arrive. Be sure to check your junk or spam folder.

First Year Advisor and Course Registration

Once you have completed your math placement exam and Dr. Sebastian has determined your placement level, you will receive an email with information on registering for classes, and contact information for your Advisor. Your advisor is here to answer any question – small or large, from class registration to finding your classroom and will be available to assist you through the registration process. This email will contain a list of recommended courses for your first semester, including your Math and English composition placements, along with instructions on how to register for classes using our online portal. There are several opportunities to come to campus in April, June, and July if you would like to register in person with assistance, but this is not required.

For questions about class registration for new students, contact Jill Dawson at jdawson@flagler.edu.
