Public Administration

The Public Administration Program at Flagler College-Tallahassee offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration. It is meant for working professionals employed in public service and non-profit agencies throughout North Florida and the Panhandle who seek to acquire an education and skills in all facets of administration.

What You'll Study

Designed to meet the educational and career objectives of working professionals, you will be instructed by faculty members who possess advanced academic degrees, as well as both public and private sector experiences.

You will study management, fiscal administration, human resources, leadership, administrative ethics, program evaluation, public policy, and grant writing.

Recognized for its value to the region by elected officials, community leaders, and senior public administrators, students will engage in a dynamic interactive learning environment, emphasizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In addition, Flagler College – Tallahassee currently offers the financial aid discounts to law enforcement and public safety officers employed in area counties and their dependents.

Hybrid Evening Program

Students will complete the curriculum within five semesters taking: four classes in a 16-week period, divided into two per eight weeks. For the convenience of the working professional, the classes will be scheduled in the evenings and online. 

Courses in Spring 2021 will be a mix of hybrid and online courses.  Online courses will be delivered either synchronous or asynchronous. (Students may request medical accommodations to have their Spring 2021 courses delivered online.)
