Continuing Education for Military Spouses
America’s military spouses are the cornerstone of families who support our armed forces.
Flagler College’s Continuing Education program wants military spouses to be aware of a great opportunity to increase their skillset or launch a new career with little or no out-of-pocket expense. The college offers a broad array of training that includes health and medical, accounting, finance, business, computer programming, web design and digital marketing for non-degree seeking students.
Flagler College is an eligible provider for the My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) grant program for eligible military spouses. MyCAA awards military grants up to $4,000 of tuition assistance to eligible military spouses to pursue licenses, training, and certifications necessary to gain employment in high-demand, high-growth portable career fields and occupations.
Being a military spouse can be very challenging. They are frequently called on to relocate, often uprooting their careers. Managing the logistics of transfers and maintaining the homefront while a spouse is deployed hones skills employers are looking for today. Firms seek workers who are resilient and able to overcome obstacles, who can adapt and recalibrate as situations change, and who know how to see the big picture and transform problems into opportunities.
