Assistant Volleyball Coach

Pete Sproules begins his third season as an assistant coach for the Flagler College volleyball program. The Saints won the conference regular season and post season PBC titles as well as the regional title and adanced to the national quarterfinals in 2011.

Sproules recently served (2013) as an assistant coach of Team Florida Wave, a professional team based in Orlando. The Wave finished runners-up for the Premier Volleyball League title.

Sproules is one of the veteran coaches of the Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association. He has been with the club since 1990 and has coached teams at all levels. Sproules is currently the National 18U coach for the club and has served in this capacity for several years. He is an extremely talented coach with a passion for the game and many of his players go on to play on college. 

Sproules has coached in the Florida High Performance program since 2007.  In 2008 he coached at the USAV High Performance International Volleyball Tournament in Tucson, Ariz.  He served as an assistant to the Florida Region High Performance Select Blue Team that finished in third place.

Prior to coming to Flagler he coached at Episcopal High School from 2005 to 2011 and at Bishop Kenny High School from 2002 to 2005. 

Sproules is USAV certified coach and is also a NCAA National Level Referee.  He has played with the JJVA men's team which won the Florida Region Mens Championship in 2007. His experience as a player, official and coach speak to his dedication to the sport of volleyball and to JJVA.
