Professional Profile
Laura Mongiovi is an interdisciplinary artist. Her work is a response to sensual perception that is both elusive and tangible. Memories range from longing and comfort to exposure and fear. She strives to make work that offers an opportunity for contemplation and discovery. Mongiovi exhibits and speaks about her work regionally and nationally. Mongiovi has presented her teaching methods at conferences, serves as a board member for the St. Johns Cultural Council and was recently invited to conduct a workshop at Arrowmont in Tennessee.
Mongiovi also maintains several blogs as a means of visually recording her studio process and the work of her students.
