‘Visionary Women’ author Andrea Barnet to speak at Flagler Forum

On March 23 at 4 p.m. Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy will host Andrea Barnet, author of “Visionary Women" to deliver a virtual lecture of the same title. This event is free and open to the public virtually.

Published by HarperCollins, Barnet’s book traces the career path of four visionary women and their indelible marks on the world. It won the Green Prize for Sustainable Literature and was a finalist for other awards. She is also the author of “All-Night Party: The Women of Bohemian Greenwich Village and Harlem, 1913-1930.”

A 25-year veteran contributor to the New York Times Book Review, Barnet’s journalism has since appeared in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Smithsonian Magazine. With husband Kit White, she splits her time between the Hudson Valley and New York City.

Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy has invited nationally-recognized journalists and commentators to St. Augustine since 1998 in order to discuss issues of importance in regional, state and federal government.
