Flagler College is poised to make key investments in its future, thanks to a $12 million, 3-1 matching gift to be paid over four years from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust. This gift marks the largest single donation to Flagler College since its inception.

When Jamie Henry graduated from Flagler College in 1994, little did she realize that she would be returning one day to appear as the keynote speaker at the Women of Vision Advisory Board’s Power of the Purse, an event designed to raise scholarship funds and increase educational opportunities for deserving women at the college.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month began on April 1, and this year marks its 21st anniversary. Flagler College's Title IX office is hosting multiple events on campus throughout the month to highlight the importance of sexual assault awareness and prevention.

Flagler Professors June Ann LeFors and Jennifer Catalano created the FlagSHIP Deaf EcoSystem Course with the sole mission of further connecting Flagler College to the Deaf community of St. Augustine. Their goal in creating the course was to teach students ways that local businesses can be more inclusive to Deaf individuals. With the help of Flagler- alumni owned local businesses, they’ve been able to do just that.

The Flagler College Kenan Lecture Series will present a lecture by assistant professor of art history and Latinx and Latin American studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Joe Hartman on March 30, 2022, at 6 pm in the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum.

Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy will present a lecture delivered by the author of “Visionary Women,” Andrea Barnet on March 22, 2022, at 7 pm in Lewis Auditorium. She will present “The Pioneering Lives of Jane Goodall and Alice Waters.”

Flagler College students had an opportunity of a lifetime to present their research at the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC), known as one of the nation's largest multi-disciplinary research conferences. This year was Flagler's second year of sending students to the conference, and the number of participants has increased five times.

Flagler College is pleased to announce receipt of a $1 million gift from Mr. Brad and Mrs. Janet Sauer. Their generous donation will increase student engagement with sports on campus by supporting Flagler’s newly-built Lacrosse and Intramurals Facility.

We are pleased to announce the exhibition Karen Hampton: Origins, opening at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum at Flagler College on Friday, March 4. Hampton’s textile-based work explores stories of the African American diaspora, as well as her ancestral ties to Northeast Florida. The artist will give a walkthrough of the exhibition on Friday, March 4 at 5pm, followed by an opening reception until 8pm.

In a major milestone for Flagler College Athletics, men’s and women's lacrosse began their inaugural seasons this month with the opening of the new Lacrosse and Intramurals Field at the Athletics Complex. The last time Flagler added a sport was in August 2014 with men’s and women’s indoor track and field.

The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center (LMCC), St. Augustine Historical Society (SAHS), and Crisp-Ellert Art Museum (CEAM), are pleased to present a multi-institutional exhibition and panel series “Magic, Mirth, and Mortality: Musings on Black Motherhood” in April 2022. Both the exhibition and panel series are inspired by the lived experiences of writer, curator, wife, and mother Shawana Brooks, and celebrates the resilience of Black mothers through the lens of visual and literary art, and historical and archival objects.

A dose of humor, wit, and emotion is coming to Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium from March 2-6.
