      Flagler College receives Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence

      For the sixth consecutive year Flagler College is one of a record 42 NCAA Division II member institutions to be honored as part of the Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence for achieving a four-year Academic Success Rate of 90 percent or higher. This is the 10th year of the program.

      President’s Golf Classic raises money for athletics scholarships

      The 2020 Flagler College/W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor President’s Classic Golf Tournament was held Nov. 6 at the World Golf Village’s King & Bear Golf Course. The event raised $74,550, which helps support athletics scholarships.

      Life has its ways.It is unpredictable. It is uncontrollable. It is simply unfair in ways the average human being will never be able to explain. These were all things well-known even before the coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed all of them as the respiratory disease trickled into the United States, causing a worldwide pandemic and canceling sports across all levels of play. On March 13, the day before the Flagler College softball team was supposed to honor its teammate, who is currently battling stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma, with an honorary first pitch, the unimaginable happened.

      Flagler Athletics announces Under Armour partnership

      The Flagler College department of athletics announced on Thursday it has entered into a five-year partnership with Under Armour, through BSN SPORTS, as its official supplier beginning July 1. The relationship will cover team uniforms, practice gear, footwear, equipment and more.

      Flagler wins first Commissioner’s Cup and eighth Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award

      It's official: Flagler College has the top athletics program in the Peach Belt Conference. On the back of strong performances by all six of its spring sports, Flagler College captured for the first time the 2018-19 PBC Commissioner's Cup as announced by the league at its annual awards dinner at the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island on Tuesday, May 28. In addition to the Cup, Flagler won its eighth Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award.

      Three Saints inducted into Flagler Athletics Hall of Fame

      Cathy (Forson) Rhoten '72, Nancy Sirmons '72, and Steven Shafer '03 were inducted as the 16th class of the Flagler College Athletics Hall of Fame Thursday evening at a banquet sponsored by Carrabba's Italian Grill at the Virginia Room in the Ringhaver Student Center. The event is part of the College's annual Alumni Weekend.

      Flagler trio earn all-conference honors, Anderson receives Elite 15 Award

      The Flagler College baseball team placed three of its members on the All-Peach Belt Conference Teams, which were announced last Thursday evening at the pre-tournament banquet at the First Coast Technical College's Character Counts Conference Center. Aaron Anderson and Robert Girgis earned first-team honors while Sean Lawlor took home second-team accolades. Anderson was the recipient of the Elite 15 Award presented by the Education Advisory Board (EAB).

      The Flagler College women's basketball team brought home some Peach Belt Conference hardware from the pre-tournament banquet tonight. Tabitha Odabe, Chris Wilson, and Kierra Crane were selected to the all-conference teams while Erika Lang-Montgomery was named as the PBC Coach of the Year and Odabe took home PBC Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second year in a row.

      Super Bowl champion and 1991 national champion Mark Brunell will speak at the Flagler College Crimson & Gold Banquet Thursday, Nov. 16 in the Hotel Ponce de Leon’s elegant dining hall. The event starts at 6 p.m. with a social and a silent auction. The dinner follows at 7 p.m.

Abare, Jr., was inducted as the lone member of the 14th class of its Athletics Hall of Fame Thursday, May 4 at a banquet sponsored by Carrabba's Italian Grill at Flagler's elegant dining hall. The event is part of the College's annual Alumni Weekend (May 4-7).

      Chad Warner, who coached Shorter University to the NAIA Division I "Fab Four" in 2012 and a No. 1 ranking, was officially introduced as head men's basketball coach at Flagler College in a press conference at Flagler on April 7.

      After a coaching career that has spanned 36 years, 31 of those at Flagler College, head men’s basketball coach Bo Clark has announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2016-17 season at a press conference this afternoon in the Flagler Room.

      Former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy recipient Doug Flutie will speak on the importance of being a student athlete, as this year’s keynote speaker for Flagler College’s annual Crimson & Gold Athletics Banquet on Friday, March 24. The banquet, which was originally scheduled in October but had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Matthew, will be held in Flagler’s elegant dining room in Ponce Hall. The event starts at 6 p.m. with a social and a silent auction and dinner following at 7 p.m.
