Rift: A Night of Senior Shows at Flagler College
Apr 16, 2019
Flagler College’s Theatre Arts Department will be showcasing five performance pieces directed by the Spring Senior Conservatory Class titled, “Rift: A Night of Senior Shows.” The collection of pieces will take place for two nights only on Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25, both at 7 p.m. in the Lewis Auditorium.
The student directors are Morgan Cox, Jenna Foley, Kelly Kraft, Corlina Kiernan and Tiana Saunders. Each director was tasked with producing a show that expressed what they have learned while at Flagler, making each of the five productions unique. Themes range from the trials and tribulations of Dungeons and Dragons to the inner struggles of living with autism. A choreographed fight scene will also take the stage.
Senior Conservatory is a three-credit course in which senior Theatre Arts majors master all aspects of producing a show. This includes selecting a piece, obtaining rights, casting and directing, set construction, light and sound design, costuming and publicity. This course acts as the senior capstone course for the Theatre Arts department at Flagler College.
Tickets are $5 general admission, available online at tickets.flagler.edu. Tickets may also be purchased directly at the box office one hour prior to curtain for each show. Flagler faculty, staff, their immediate family, and Flagler students, may obtain one free ticket directly from the box office. Non-Flagler students may also receive a free ticket with their identification. The event qualifies as a co-curricular credit for Flagler students.
