On March 1, Flagler College, represented by students of Rampant, was announced among the winners of the 34th Annual Educational Advertising Awards. This national competition, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report, recognizes the field of educational marketing and advertising. Schools can submit as many entries as they want within the 33 categories for the chance to win a gold, silver or bronze award in each category.

Students Karese Burrows and Megan Coriell created the award-winning entries as part of their work with Rampant, a student, in-house marketing agency that is part of the Flagler marketing department. The college was among the 15 Best of Show winners for their work with Mindpower, a branding agency in Atlanta, Ga. The team won two gold awards for their “Make History Viewbook” and “Make History Recruitment Campaign” with Mindpower. Flagler also won two silver awards for “The Flagler Effect,” a magazine advertising series, and “Study Abroad: Shipwreck Ecology,” a special video production.

“This is truly wonderful!” said Burrows, who was quick to credit her success to her work with Rampant and its Director of Marketing Leticia Martin.

Burrows and Coriell join a recent cohort of Flagler students who have used opportunities like Rampant to showcase their skills and excel to a national level with awards and recognition.
