Flagler sees huge successes on Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a yearly opportunity for nonprofits across the country to raise money on the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving. After a weekend of Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, participants mark the start of the giving season by contributing to a cause close to their heart. In all, 376 donors participated in Flagler’s efforts and helped the college set a new record.  

“Faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the college demonstrated their generous spirit in support of the college and our students,” said Sierra Aitken, manager of annual giving.

The record-setting day of giving will give rise to funding for 24 scholarships, $12,800 in academic programming enhancements and emergency relief grants for four additional students.

Said Aitken, “The pride of the Flagler Family has never been stronger and we are extremely grateful for each and every donor who contributed to our success!”
