Flagler embarks on a week of wizardry

Grab your hats and hang onto your broomsticks as campus is transformed into Flagler College School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. From Nov. 11-15, enjoy a variety of events across campus as a tribute to Harry Potter. From being sorted into your house to dining in the Great Hall, this week is sure to bring a little magic into your life.

The wizardry begins on Monday with a Sorting in the Student Center. Visit Bailey’s Lounge from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to discover your Hogwarts house. Later that evening, the Quidditch team will host a scrimmage from 4-7 p.m. in the Palm Garden.

On Tuesday, take a stroll around Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade from 7-9 p.m. in the Commons. Then on Wednesday, test your wizarding knowledge by attending the weekly Trivia Night from 7:30-9 p.m. in the Commons for an evening of Harry Potter-themed questions.

Visit the Gamache-Koger Theater on Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. to learn more about Potter Personalities, where Michelle Holland will present on the four personalities of the Hogwarts houses. This event counts for Co-Curricular credit. That same evening, let the wand choose you at Ollivander’s from 7-9 p.m. in the Student Center.

This magical week ends on Friday with the Great Hall celebration from 6-9 p.m. in Ponce de Leon Hall. See how Flagler’s dining hall is transformed into a magical display of floating candles, house tables and characters from the wizarding world.
