This year, the Communication department at Flagler College will be hosting its annual COM Week. This week is chock-full of immersive events, co-curriculars, and guest speakers. The Speech Competition is one of these events that invites students to share their story in a relaxed,
judgement-free setting.

This Speech Competition will take place on March 10 at 7 p.m. in ChocoLattes, a local coffeehouse in St. Augustine next to the communication department building, Pollard Hall.

Students are invited to read up to 3 minutes of any form of writing (including but not limited to: poems, short stories, prose, monologue). Students can also enjoy 10% off ChocoLattes desserts and coffee, as well as receive co-curricular credit for the event. To top it all off, the most influential speaker will receive a cash prize of $100.

Get empowered during this year’s COM Week, hosted by Flagler College’s Communication Department, the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), and DOW Advantage. Though this Speech Competition is just one of the many events Flagler has to offer, it will be the most transformative.
