Alumni Events Round Up

Nights of Lights More than 300 alumni and their families took part in the traditional Nights of Lights Alumni Reception at Markland House in November. They enjoyed holiday treats, carols and each other’s company while taking in the beautiful lighting of the city.

Move-In Day
Fifteen alumni and their families volunteered to help move students into their dorms in August. Alumni volunteers welcomed new students and helped them get settled into their new home.
First Coast Networking Event
First Coast alumni gathered after work to escape the late-summer heat and network at Ripe Bistro and Social Lounge (owned by alumnus, Jeff Holleran, ‘91) on St. Augustine Beach in August. 
Sun Coast Chapter
Sun Coast alumni, parents, newly accepted students and their families were invited to a new student sendoff at the home of Nancy Rutland, alumna and Flagler trustee in August. Nearly 80 guests spent the evening connecting with one another and meeting Flagler President William T. Abare Jr. before wishing the incoming Class 0f 2013 the best of luck on their journey to Flagler College.
Chesapeake Chapter
The Chesapeake Chapter enjoyed a record turnout of alumni, parents and friends for a reception in our nation’s capital at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center in September. More than 90 guests joined Dr. Abare for an evening of reminiscing and reconnecting with one another.
New York Chapter
The Redeye Grill in Midtown was the site that attracted over 60 alumni, parents and friends for a fun cocktail reception in mid-November. Dr. Abare’s remarks capped off a wonderful evening of reuniting with the extended Flagler family.
