Writers in Residence Presents Erika Meitner

Flagler College’s Writers in Residence series is thrilled to host Erika Meitner, an accomplished poet currently working as Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing Programs Director at Virginia Tech.

Meitner has written four books of poetry:

  • Inventory at the All-Night Drugstore, which won the 2002 Robert Dana-Anhinga Prize for Poetry
  • Ideal Cities, which won the 2009 National Poetry Series competition
  • Makeshift Instructions for Vigilant Girls
  • Copia

In September of 2018, BOA Editions will publish her fifth collection of poetry, Holy Moly Carry Me.

Meitner received her A.B. in Creative Writing at Dartmouth College and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing at the University of Virginia. She also studied at Hebrew University and earned an M.A. in Religious Studies at the University of Virginia.

This event will take place in the Solarium.
