Lee Weaver to perform “The Witness” this fall

Nov 14
07:30pm | Lewis Auditorium

The Flagler College School of Creative Arts and Letters is sponsoring the production of “The Witness” performed by Lee Weaver on Wednesday, Nov. 14 and Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Flagler College Lewis Auditorium.

“The Witness” is the story of racism in 1960s America, specifically in St. Augustine as told by Beauregard Stuart Lee, a 69 year-old St. Augustine native, and self-confessed former racist. “Bo,” having become “awoken,” shares his personal experiences including the beating of UN Ambassador Andrew Young, the incarceration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and various other local events that occurred in St. Augustine at that time.

The event is free for Flagler College students, faculty and staff. Tickets are $15 per person for the general public. Tickets can be purchased in advance here and will also be available at the door for each of the performances.
