Ideas and Images: Dr. Ilka C. Feller, Discusses Effects of Climate Change on St. Augustine Flora

Dr. Ilka C. (Candy) Feller, scientist with the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, will give the last presentation of Flagler College’s 2015-2016 Ideas and Images series on Wednesday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. Her talk will focus on the effects of climate change on select plant species in the St. Augustine area, as well as the impact of invasive species on the use of area waterways for economic, recreational and educational purposes.

The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the college’s Flagler Room, located at 74 King Street in Ponce Hall. The presentation coincides with the Mangrove and Macrobenthos Meeting (MMM4) International Conference, held on the campus from July 18 to July 22.
