Lisa Fiala

Lisa Fiala

Director of the International Center

Lisa Fiala earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Miami University of Ohio and a master’s degree in international sustainable development from the School for International Training in Vermont. Director Fiala came to Flagler with more than 17 years international working experience. She held the position of Director of International Programs and Outreach at the Northwest School in Seattle, and was previously the Regional Director for Southeast Europe with American Councils for International Education where she managed 7 countries offices and worked closely with local US Embassies on education programming.

She has consulted for and completed assignments with a number of other NGOs and IO's including The Global Fund for Children, UNCTAD and UNICEF and has worked in 22 countries around the world on programs focused on youth and education. Fiala served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria ('01-'03) and Ghana ('03-'04) and has lived in Switzerland, Tajikistan and Serbia as well. She loves to talk about Peace Corps and about travel anywhere, feel free to stop by!

Dylan Rasnick

Dylan Rasnick

International Student Advisor

As Flagler College’s first ever International Student Advisor, Dylan is excited to bring his years of experience to the International Center. Dylan earned his bachelor’s degree in International Relations and French Language Studies from American University in Washington, D.C. Prior to Flagler, Dylan worked with DC based non-profits, specifically pertaining to minority rights and international education. For the past two years, Dylan was working in New York City with a notable English as a Second Language (ESL) school, Rennert International. Dylan discovered his passion for international dialogue and exchange through his study abroad experience in Paris, France and his time as a volunteer English teacher in Lubcza, Poland. He believes in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all of Flagler’s international students and scholars. So stop by Wiley Hall and say “Bonjour,” “Dzień dobry,” or “Hello”!

P.S. Dylan also loves chocolate. Feel free to bring chocolate when you stop by his office.

Each semester, the International Center offers exciting employment opportunities for Flagler College students. Student workers help support the International Center’s mission by greeting guests to Wiley Hall, responding to questions about study abroad, and assisting with International Center events.
