Philosophy/Religion
The Philosophy and Religion major and minors train you in the art and practice of asking fundamental questions. You'll acquire excellence in critical thought, clarity of expression, and the skill of listening to others.
What you’ll study
You'll study the span of human wisdom: from the first Christians, the Buddha and the ancient, to the meaning of modern neuroscience and twenty-first century feminism and political philosophy.
Practical Experience
The philosophy and religion program gives you unique preparation for a variety of career paths. Majors nationally score highly on LSAT, GMAT and GRE post-college tests, preparing them for, e.g., law, administration, business careers, the para-professions, communications, and human services. In addition, the program provides a good background for a number of church-related vocations, including counseling, youth ministry, and Christian education.
