Secondary Education

Mathematics

Take courses in mathematics while pursuing certification in secondary education. Once you complete your coursework and pass the FTCE exams, you'll be eligible to obtain Florida secondary Mathematics certification to teach grades 6-12.

What You'll Study

You'll take all the mathematics, professional education, and pedagogy courses you'll need to teach a wide variety of mathematics to middle and high school students. You'll gain the skills you need to be successful in a 6-12 environment. You'll also train in statistics, calculus, geometry, algebra and other required content.

Practical Experience

You'll participate in practicum courses with schools in the public school system of St. Johns County and other approved districts.
