Art Education

Once you complete your coursework and pass the FTCE exams, you'll be eligible to receive Florida certification to teach art in grades K-12.

What You'll Study

This program allows you to study art, professional education, and pedagogy courses. You’ll receive instruction in a wide variety of artist mediums:

  • Drawing
  • Photography
  • Painting
  • Ceramic
  • Sculpture
  • And more

You'll cover all these mediums while also learning skills you need to be successful in a K-12 classroom.

 

What's Next?

This course of study requires students to complete an art major and to study professional education and methodology courses.
