EKG Technician Career Prep

The course will combine theory and practice to provide instruction in all aspects of EKG technology and patient care.  Students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, appropriate patient care, and how to properly conduct an electrocardiogram (ECG).  The course will also provide students knowledge as to how to diagnose different rhythms discovered through ECG tests. Additional topics that students will learn about is the use of pacemakers as well as ECG cardiogram artifacts and the 12-leag ECG and acute myocardial infarction. While much is now known about HIV infection, its direct and indirect effects continue to challenge patients, families, communities, and caregivers. A new generation of health care providers is now needed to provide care for persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH). Physical Therapy Technician Career Prep

This comprehensive course will cover the knowledge, practices, and techniques needed to prepare you for the AMCA Physical Therapy Technician certification exam and satisfy the certification course requirement prior to exam admittance. Throughout this course, you will be required to read portions of the assigned text, complete reflective activities and practice activities, watch videos demonstrating procedure and research more information on assigned topics. Completion of this course will take approximately 120 hours.
