A Florida native, Janette Allen received an undergraduate degree in business administration in 1992 from the University of West Alabama (formerly Livingston University), and completed graduate coursework at the University of Illinois Springfield. During an internship at the Art Institute of Chicago, Janette discovered her passion for fundraising and began work with their annual fund and membership efforts. She continued her career at the University of North Florida as Development Officer in the College of Computing, Engineering and Construction. Most recently, Janette was the Director of Development at University of Florida and UF Health Jacksonville. She joined the Flagler team as Senior Development Officer in August 2014, bringing with her 20 years of development experience. Janette is proud to stand behind the standard of excellence that is provided at Flagler College.
Jeffrey Davitt ‘07
Assistant Director of Development
Jeff graduated with a sport management and business administration degree, coordinated part of the volunteer effort for Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville (2005), and then worked in the community relations office of the Miami Dolphins. He returned to Flagler College in 2008 to coordinate the annual giving initiative and in 2012 he was promoted to a Development Officer. Jeff earned a MBA degree from the University of North Florida in 2012 and currently serves on the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, First Coast Chapter. Jeff recently became a certified fundraising executive (CFRE) in 2013.
Gabriel graduated from Warner University with his
Master’s Degree in Business Administration. While at school, Gabriel competed on the men’s collegiate golf team. Gabriel’s experience includes an internship at The PGA Tour. His responsibilities included market research, financial analysis, and gift giving for The PGA Tour’s various charitable programs. In addition to being an avid golf enthusiast, he is a classically trained pianist and has earned a black belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate. Gabriel is looking forward to continuing to uphold the standard of excellence at Flagler College.
Jody joined the department in January 2016 after moving to St. Augustine from Oklahoma. Prior to moving to Florida, she worked as the Administrative Assistant for the Academic Deans of Western Oklahoma State College; was the event coordinator for the Oklahoma River Cruises; owned/managed Gelato & More in Las Vegas; and was the Systems Analyst at Sun Oil Co. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with minors in Computer Information Systems and Management. She is grateful to be part of such a great team and an amazing college.
Manager of Annual Giving
Upon relocating from Colorado Springs, CO Jessie joined the Office of Institutional Advancement team in October 2016. Jessie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Colorado College, and previously worked on her alma mater’s Annual Giving staff for one year before moving to Florida. At Colorado College she was heavily involved with young alumni giving and the student phonathon program. She is looking forward to growing the Flagler Fund and working with Flagler students to increase awareness of the importance of philanthropy.
Sierra Aitken ‘17
Annual Giving Officer
After relocating from Nassau, Bahamas, Sierra attended Flagler College and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication in 2017. During her time as a student, Sierra was one of the top callers in the student phonathon program, president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals collegiate chapter and an avid volunteer in advancement and alumni events. As a new member of the Annual Giving team, Sierra enjoys working with students through the phonathon program and expressing her creativity through marketing. Sierra is grateful to be carrying on her Flagler Legacy as the first college graduate of the Aitken family.
Jay Kelly ‘12

A 2012 graduate of Flagler College, Jay earned degrees in English and philosophy. He initially worked with the Office of Institutional Advancement through Flagler's work study grant during his three-year enrollment at the College and joined our department in 2013.
Manager of Gift Administration
Josephine joined the Office of Institutional Advancement in December 2017 after relocating from Williamsburg, VA. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting from Saint Leo University. She worked at the Institute for the Theory and Practice of International Relations/AidData – a research lab for international development at the College of William and Mary as Financial and Business Analytics Manager for grants and contracts and previously worked for Northrop Grumman Corporation as Program Cost Control Analyst at Fort Eustis, VA. She is thrilled to have joined another institution that makes a difference in society.
Database Specialist '17
Originally from Denver, CO Erin attended Flagler College and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Upon graduating in 2017 she decided to stay in St. Augustine, and in May of 2018 joined the Office of Institutional Advancement team as a Database Specialist. As an alumna, Erin is excited to be a part of her alma mater and is looking forward to working with the College.

Margo Thomas ‘06
Director of Alumni Relations
During Margo’s time as a Flagler student, she was captain of the women’s golf team for two years and MVP for three years as well as outstanding English student. Originally hired as part of the Annual Giving staff in 2006, Margo joined the Alumni Relations effort in 2008 as Assistant Director and in 2010 assumed the Director role. Margo is currently working towards a master’s degree in English from Middlebury College.
Kerri Carlyon '02

Kerri graduated from Flagler with a degree in business administration and in communication. After graduation, she worked for six years at The St. Augustine Record as an Advertising Account Executive. In January of 2012, she returned to her alma mater to assume the role of Research and Stewardship Manager in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Office of Foundation and Government Relations
Director of Foundation and Government Relations
A 2005 graduate of Flagler College, Beth earned her degree in Political Science. She recently returned to the college after serving as the Director for Policy and Government Relations with the St. Johns County School District. She has extensive experience with governmental relations with the School District and the federal, state and local government. She has written numerous position papers and monitored the implementation of new statutes and programs. She facilitated the community education, communication resources, and technical components of the school district’s efforts to pass the half-cent sales tax. Prior to working for the St. Johns County School District, she was a Legislative Aide to State Senator Ronda Storms from 2006-2011.
