Flagler College 50th Anniversary
Celebrating the Trailblazer Spirit
1968 has been called a “year that changed everything.”
It certainly changed the lives of those students who were the first to attend a small college founded in the nation’s oldest city. Flagler College opened its doors to women that Fall, and since then, has seen 18,000 alumni walk through its doors and out into the world.
Throughout its 50 years, Flagler College has seen a lot of change as the campus grew from its centerpiece, the Hotel Ponce de Leon, now a National Historic Landmark, and Markland House, to the most recent addition of Abare Hall, part of $23 million complex on the San Sebastian River.
One thing that has remained constant is the spirit of the students that choose to attend Flagler. These trailblazers embody the ideals of Henry Flagler through their entrepreneurial ideas, their vision for a better world, their desire to make their own history.
As we honor the College’s milestone year, we invite you to join us in “Celebrating the Trailblazer Spirit” by joining us for exciting events, lectures, and activities throughout the year leading up to Alumni Weekend in Spring 2019.
We hope to see you at these following events and invite you to check back for more events as they’re added later in the year.
