Flagler College - Safety & Security
Office of Safety & Security
The Office of Safety & Security is located in the Rotunda of Ponce de Leon Hall at the original hotel check-in desk.
Hours of Operation
Security personnel, under the direct supervision of the Director of Safety and Security, are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week, along with two uniformed sworn police officers in the late evening to early morning hours.
The Role of Security
The security office, in the chain of command, falls under the Vice President of Business Services and is responsible for the security and safety of the entire campus community as well as visitors to the campus and all college property and equipment. Security is also responsible for seeing that college regulations and restrictions, as well as legal statutes, are observed. The security office also maintains and makes available campus crime statistics. This annual report can be obtained three ways: in print at the security office, online on the Flagler College website and on the U.S. Department of Education website.
Emergency Notification System
Flagler College has a state-of-the-art emergency notification system called e2Campus. The system allows the College to send instant text message or email notifications to every mobile phone, blackberry, wireless PDA, pager and email address included in its registry. Sign up is free and voluntary, but students are strongly encouraged to participate.
