Tradition is alive and well at Flagler College—crimson and gold is just the beginning.
We want our students to immerse themselves in a diverse, creative and exciting learning environment, and because of that, we support all kinds of activities to keep our students engaged both on campus and in the community. Whatever your interests, there is something for everyone, and we encourage students to start their own traditions for others to share.
Every Halloween, the college hosts a midnight breakfast in the Dining Hall. Students are invited to come out at midnight in their costumes to enjoy the food, a DJ and friends, as well as take part in a costume contest.
During finals week at the end of every academic year, the West Lawn becomes the site of bounce houses, inflatable slides, free pizza, and numerous other fun events to help students relax and de-stress before their finals.
Harry Potter Month
For one month every year, students have the opportunity to enter Harry Potter’s magical world and eat in the Flagler Dining Hall, which is transformed into the Hogwarts Great Hall and where pumpkin juice is served, tables are separated according to houses, and professors dress up as characters such as Dumbledore or McGonagall. Students also play Quidditch on the west lawn, get sorted by the sorting hat in the student center, and take part in several other Potter-themed events.
