Flagler College-Tallahassee offers upper-level courses in Accounting, Business Administration, Elementary education, and Exceptional Student Education on the campus of Tallahassee Community College. The program was initiated in the fall of 2000 to fulfill a legislative mandate to increase opportunities for students seeking baccalaureate degrees.
Students may select one of the following majors: Business Administration, Business Administration/Accounting, Elementary Education, and Elementary Education/Exceptional Student Education. An evening Accounting program started in Fall 2004.
Admission is open to students who have earned an Associate of Arts degree, or 60 transferable college credits in which a grade of C or better was earned.
Tuition is $190 per credit hour ($570 per three-hour course), and most students qualify for the Florida Resident Access Grant (FRAG). Other state and federal financial aid packages are also available.
Day and evening schedules are designed to meet the needs of both the traditional, college-aged student as well as working adults. Students attending the day program may take up to 15 hours per semester. Day classes meet between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Evening students take 12 hours per semester and attend three times per week and one Saturday each month. Evening classes meet between 6 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The Saturday classes meet from 9 a.m. until noon. Classes in the evening program are scheduled sequentially (one per month), allowing students to focus on one subject area at a time.
The academic year calendar is a great way to keep up with what is going on at Flagler College-Tallahasse Program.
