Meet Daniel

Daniel Reid, Business Administration

Dublin, Ireland

What brought you to Flagler?

A soccer scholarship and the opportunity to try something out of the ordinary.

Are you involved in any clubs or on campus activities?

I am captain of the men’s soccer team. I am a member of the Alpha Chi and Sigma Beta Delta honor societies. Off campus I volunteer for the St. Augustine Art Association.

What is one thing that amazes you about Flagler?

The small class sizes and the ease at which students can interact with professors outside of class.

What is your favorite thing about Flagler?

The atmosphere on the campus is perfect for learning. The education in turn helps build a solid foundation for entering the working world after college.

How has Flagler changed you?

The college has helped me become more independent. It has also opened my eyes to a culture I would have never experienced back home. I have matured as a person thanks to my experience here in America and Flagler.

What is your favorite memory from Flagler so far?

My favorite memory thus fare has been this year’s soccer season. [We] won the Peach Belt regular season title and the conference tournament title.

What are your long-term plans?

My long-term plan is to stay in America and complete a postgraduate course in either international business or marketing. I hope to do this by attaining a position as a graduate assistant. After that I may return home to Ireland.
