  • Play Button, her second book, won the 2010 Cider Press Review Book Award, judged by Patricia Smith
  • Girls Turned Like Dials (a chapbook) won the 2012 YellowJacket Press prize
  • Poems from her first book, Hope, As the World is a Scorpion Fish, have been featured on Garrison Keillor’s The Writer’s Almanac and Verse Daily
  • Poems have appeared and are forthcoming in numerous journals including Barrow Street, Cimarron Review, Harper's Ferry Review, The Journal, New York Quarterly, and Notre Dame Review
  • Recipient of Florida First Coast Poetry Award
  • Nominated for Best of the Net, Best New Poets, and Pushcart Prize
  • Presented papers and poetry at conferences such as Crossing Borders (New York Institute of Technology in Nanjing, China), National Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association, and Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association
  • Flagler College Dean’s Award for Scholarship and Creativity, 2011 and 2008
Professional Profile:

Professor Robbins received her Ph.D. in Creative Writing from Georgia State University, her M.A. in Creative Writing from the University of North Florida and her B.A. in Creative Writing from the College of Charleston. Her poetry has been widely published in print and online publications. At Flagler, she specializes in creative writing, poetry and fiction.
