Student Orientation Schedule

This is a general schedule of events for the day. Each student will be assigned to a group and have a personalized schedule to follow.

8:00 am - 8:30 am - Registration

Location: Ringhaver Student Center

Pick up Orientation packet with personalized schedule of the day
Student Services and Admission staff will be available to discuss various aspects of the day and services available at Flagler.

9:00 am - 9:15 am - Opening Sessions

Location: Flagler Room in Ponce Hall

Speakers are to include Dr. William Abare, President; Dr. Alan Woolfolk, Dean of Academic Affairs; Mr. Marc Williar, Director of Admissions; and Dr. Art Vanden Houten, Learning Communities

9:30 am - 12:00 pm - Session I

Students will be assigned to a staff/faculty person and current Flagler College student, who will accompany them throughout the day, and a particular track.

  • Gold Track
  • Red Track
  • Parent Track

Campus Tour

Students on the Gold Track will start on a Campus Tour. The tour includes the Library, Career Services, Learning Resource Center, Financial Aid, the Counseling Center, the Registrar's Office and Residence Life.

Academic Session

Following the tour, students will pick up their class schedules and hear more about majors and minors.

Orientation Station

Students will:

  • Process Identification Card
  • Choose rooming assignment and roommates
  • Sign up for student clubs

Room Tours

Everyone will have the opportunity to see showcase rooms in the Residence Halls

Detailed Parent Schedule


12:00 pm - 1:30 pm - Lunch

Lunch in the magnificent Flagler College Dining Hall with an opportunity for parents and students to reconnect.

1:30 pm - 3:30 pm - Session II

Students with their staff/faculty person will follow the opposite track from the morning session.

3:30 pm - 5:00 pm - Optional Extended Orientation

Location: Ringhaver Student Center

The following offices will be available for individual appointments:

  • Registrar - adjustment of class schedules, adding classes
  • Financial Aid - clarifying the paperwork necessary and checking current status
  • Business Office - questions regarding billing
  • Residence Life - choosing a room, determining roommates, renting a micro-fridge
  • Dining Services - questions regarding meal plans
  • Student Services - pick up Fall Orientation packet
