St. Augustine, Fla. --  Flagler College’s alumni magazine recently won an Image Award from the local Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) chapter.
The Jacksonville-area FPRA Image Awards competition judges submissions from area public relations professionals in a variety of categories, from crisis communication programs to press releases. Winners are chosen annually for showing the best innovation, planning and design.
Flagler Magazine received the 2007 Image Award for the magazine category in late April. The college was recognized alongside leading Jacksonville public relations agencies. Other winners included the Dalton Agency and St. John & Partners, who worked on projects for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the City of Jacksonville, Winn-Dixie and more.
The magazine is published twice a year and sent to alumni, students, faculty and other members of the Flagler College community. It highlights the people, developments and accomplishments that make the college unique through a mix of feature stories, photography and news briefs.
“We’ve really taken Flagler Magazine in a new direction the past couple of years,” said Brian Thompson, director of public information and Flagler Magazine editor. “The whole publication has been a real team effort among the staff here and a very talented graphic designer named Randy Taylor, who has been a great partner each issue. We always knew we were creating something special, and this is proof of that.”
