Barons roll past Saints, 77-58
MOUNT VERNON, Ga. − Warren Beaulah led three Barons in double figures with a game-high 20 points in leading Brewton-Parker College to a 77-58 win over Flagler College in a non-conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at the SACenter Gym. Brewton-Parker avenges an earlier 74-67 loss at Flagler.
Bryan Jett added 15 points and eight rebounds for Brewton-Parker (8-2). Adrian Sing chipped in with 14 points. The Barons shot a blistering 52.9% from the field for the game, including shooting a 60.9% clip in the second half alone.
Ben De La Cruz (Orlando, Fla./University HS) led 24th-ranked Flagler (5-3) with a team-high 16 points and five rebounds. Jon Matthews (Daytona Beach, Fla./Atlantic HS) added nine shots for the Saints. Flagler shot 39.6% from the field and 23.8% from behind the 3-point line.
Flagler hosts Trinity College of New Port Richey Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Flagler Gym.
