Mocs down Lady Saints, 71-57
  Sarah Pavelecky notched a double-double with game-highs in points (20) and rebounds (15) to lead NCAA Division II Florida Southern College to a 71-57 win over NAIA Division II Flagler College in a non-conference women’s basketball game Saturday night at Flagler Gym.
 
Willamina Folks added 19 points for Florida Southern (2-2). Christina Wright grabbed 10 rebounds and added five steals, four assists and a pair of blocked shots. The Moccasins forced 27 Lady Saint turnovers and converted them into 40 points.
 
Meaggan Anderson (Inverness, Fla./Citrus HS) led Flagler (5-4) with 17 points and nine rebounds. Jamie Allenbaugh (Pittsburgh, Pa./West Virginia Wesleyan College) added 15 points and Brittney Garmon (St. Augustine, Fla./St. Augustine HS) tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds. Caren Fiorillo (Meadville, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy) registered a game-high six assists and added a pair of blocked shots for the Lady Saints.
 
Flagler will travel to Rollins College for a non-conference game Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Winter Park.
