Lady Saints finish 6th at Stetson Hatter Invitational

DeLAND, Fla. − Stephanie Guy (Lakeville, Mass./Westfield State College) of Flagler College finished the 5K course with a time of 20:55 and placed 16th at the annual Stetson Hatter Invitational Meet Friday afternoon at the Sebring Complex. As a team, Flagler placed 6th with a total of 178 points, the best score out of the NAIA schools in the field.
 
The University of Central Florida placed first in the team standings with 44 points as its top five runners finished in the top 14. Raynell Hagberg of Florida Atlantic University won the individual race with a time of 18:39.
 
Lindsey DiBona (Glastonbury, Conn.) finished 24th with a time of 21:20. Jamie Stanish (Shavertown, Pa./Dallas HS) finished 36th (21:45). Ali Melton crossed the finish line with a time of 22:26, in 47th place. Anna Kroeger placed 61st with a time of 22:48 to round out the scoring for Flagler.
 
Amber Lane crossed the line at 23:47. Chelsie Anderson (Houlton, Wisc./Hudson Senior HS) finished with a time of  26:20.
 
The women’s next meet will be Nov. 4 at NAIA Region XIV Meet held in Clermont.
