Lady Saints sweep Lady Royals, 3-0

LAKE WALES, Fla. — Elizabeth Layfield (Gainesville, Fla./Florida CC-Jacksonville) recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 17 digs to lead Flagler College to a 3-0 (30-21, 30-19, 30-19) win over Warner Southern College in a Florida Sun Conference volleyball match Friday night.
 
Melissa Bear (Orange Park, Fla./Florida CC-Jacksonville) recorded eight kills for Flagler (13-10, 7-1 Florida Sun), who have won three out of its last four matches. Jessica Pate (Green Cove Springs, Fla./Clay HS) registered six service aces and also tagged on eight kills for the Lady Saints.
 
Warner Southern drops to 10-11 overall and 4-6 in conference play.
 
Flagler takes on Webber International at noon tomorrow in another conference match.
