Saint harriers finish 20th at Disney Classic
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. − Matt Mosshart (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach HS) of Flagler College finished the 8K course with a time of 27:45.05 to place 72nd at the annual Disney Classic at the Wide World of Sports Complex Saturday morning. Mosshart nearly shave an entire minute off his time from the meet two weeks ago. Schools from NCAA Division I, II and III competed along with schools from the NAIA.
As a team, Flagler placed 20th with a total of 541 points. The University of Florida placed first in the team standings with 34 points and Chris Mullaney of UCF won the individual race with a time of 25:39.56.
Jack Galley (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach HS) finished 119th with a time of 28:48.63. Ryan McManus (Seminole, Fla./Seminole HS) finished 135th (29:24.53) and was followed by teammate Adam Muller in 147th place with a time of 29:43.49. Shane Livensparger (Angola, Ind./Angola HS) placed 198th with a time of 31:38.61 to round out the scorers for the Saints. Each of the runners nearly knocked two minutes of their previous times from two weeks ago.
Brandon Collins finished with a time of 31:59.82 while Kyle Trumble (Lander, Wyo./Lander Valley HS) crossed the line at 33:25.21 and Alex Clay (Orange Park, Fla./Ridgeview HS) followed him at 33:25.47.
The men’s next meet will be Friday at the Hatter Invitational held in DeLand.
