Lady Saints blank Lady Royals, 7-0

LAKE WALES, Fla. | Marissa McConihay (North Palm Beach, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens HS) scored a pair of goals to lead Flagler College to a 7-0 triumph over Warner Southern College in the Florida Sun Conference womenfs soccer opener for both Friday afternoon.

Jessica Potter (Ormond Beach, Fla./Seabreeze HS) scored a goal and assisted on another for 21st-ranked Flagler (5-1, 1-0 Florida Sun). Breanne Mooi (Singer Island, Fla./Suncoast Community HS) notched a pair of assists. Cassi Tansey (Jacksonville, Fla./Jacksonville U.) and Heather Acosta (Kissimmee, Fla./Cypress Creek HS) also scored goals for the Lady Saints. Megan Bundrick (Mattituck, N.Y./Mattituck HS) and Nicole Raymond (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run HS) both registered assists. Kate Carver (Margate, Fla./Nova HS) saved two shots to collect her second shutout of the season.

Holly Martin recorded five saves for Warner Southern (1-1, 0-1).

Flagler takes on rival Embry-Riddle in a non-conference match Sunday night at 7 p.m.
