Broncos down Lady Saints again, 3-1

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — In a re-match of the opening round of the Daytona Beach Blast, Hastings College defeated Flagler College 3-1 (30-19, 29-31, 30-13, 30-9) in the semifinal round of the Gold Division, comprised of primarily NAIA members.

Erin Lennemann led Hastings (8-1) with 22 kills, coming off the bench. Celeste Bauer added 13 kills and 11 digs for the Broncos. Lindsay Evans registered 31 assists while Jacqui Smith recorded 14 digs.

Liz Moyer (Moore, S.C./Spartanburg HS) led Flagler (4-4) with nine kills and 15 digs. Carrie Arnette (Keystone Heights, Fla./St. Johns River CC) tallied 31 assists coming off the bench.

Flagler completes the Daytona Beach Blast with a 2-3 record. The Lady Saints play an exhibition match at Florida CC –Jacksonville on Tuesday at 7 p.m. They open their home schedule on Friday against conference foe Warner Southern College at 7 p.m.
