Bees sting Lady Saints, 77-59
 
SAVANNAH, Ga. − Rachel Hennon scored a game-high 18 points and she also dished out nine assists in leading the Savannah College of Art and Design to a 77-59 win over Flagler College in a Florida Sun Conference women’s basketball game Wednesday night at the Ron Love Athletic Center.
 
Kacie Moreland added 14 points, eight rebounds and seven steals while Alexis AuBuchon also tallied 14 points for SCAD (5-13, 1-2 Florida Sun), who snapped a three-game losing streak. Ashley Hart came off the bench to add 13 points for the Bees.
 
SCAD took a 35-34 lead into the break and the score remained tight throughout with eight ties and seven lead changes. Flagler’s Brittney Garmon (St. Augustine, Fla./St. Augustine HS) sank one-of-two free throws with 6:45 left in regulation to cut SCAD’s lead to 59-53. The Bees closed the game on an 18-6 run forcing five turnovers in that span and held the Lady Saints to 3-of-9 shooting from the field. SCAD sank all 10 of its free throws in the final five minutes.
 
FSC Player of the Week Meaggen Anderson (Inverness, Fla./Citrus HS) notched her second consecutive double-double with a 17-point, 11-rebound effort for Flagler (9-10, 1-1). Jamie Allenbaugh (Pittsburgh, Pa./West Virginia Wesleyan College) added 14 points while Garmon tallied 12 points and grabbed eight boards.
 
Flagler returns to action on Saturday when it hosts defending conference champion Warner Southern College at 5 p.m. at Flagler Gym.
