Flagler College's communication building at 31 Cordova St. was torn down yesterday, the first step in the construction of the College's new academic building, Pollard Hall.

The proposed classroom building includes three distinct two-story buildings that will all be connected by a single story building.  The buildings will contain 18,600 square feet and will provide 8 classrooms, a television studio, 4 faculty offices, and a commons area furnished with study tables, chairs, and lounge furniture.

It is anticipated that construction of the new classroom building will be completed by May of 2014.
