Amanda Marconi, a Flagler College senior theatre arts major, was recently awarded the Retired Flagler College Faculty scholarship.

The Senior Association of Sociable Saints presented Marconi with an $800 scholarship at a luncheon on March 22.

“I was so surprised and deeply touched to receive this scholarship,” said Marconi, who also won the SASS scholarship in 2012.

The award is given based on academic achievement and need with the recipient’s name added to a plaque that hangs in the Ringhaver Student Center on the Flagler College campus.
