Flagler College Magazine won a gold award in the 2012 MarCom Awards competition, marking the fourth year in a row the alumni magazine has come away with an award in the competition.
The MarCom Awards recognize achievement by marketing and communication professionals throughout the country including colleges and universities, Fortune 500 companies, marketing and advertising firms, and non-profit organizations. There were over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2012 competition.
“We put a lot of work into producing the magazine and telling the stories of Flagler's students, alumni and faculty/staff,” said the magazine’s editor, Brian Thompson. “So it's rewarding to see the magazine recognized this way, especially in a category with so many large and well-known schools.”
The publication won in the magazine/educational category, and other gold award winners were San Jose State University, George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business.
