The Peace Corps awarded Flagler College a No. 2 ranking on the 2012 top Peace Corps volunteer-producing colleges and universities among small schools. The rest of the top four were Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fl., Mercer University in Macon, Ga., and Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.

There are currently 12 Flagler alumni serving overseas. To date, 47 Flagler alumni have served in the Peace Corps. Flagler ranked No. 48 among all schools in the Southeast Region.

The Peace Corps ranks its top volunteer-producing schools annually according to the size of the student body. Small schools have less than 5,000 undergraduates. The rankings are calculated based on fiscal year 2011 data as of September 30, 2011 as self-reported by Peace Corps volunteers.
