Florida Gov. Rick Scott visits Flagler for talk to Chamber of Commerce

Florida Gov. Rick Scott spoke at Flagler College’s Markland House on Aug. 28 for a roundtable luncheon with St. Johns County business leaders about stimulating growth in the state and creating jobs.

Scott was joined by State Sen. John Thrasher and State Rep. and Flagler Chancellor William L. Proctor.

The governor spoke about his plans for attracting more jobs to Florida and highlighted recent accomplishments in the last legislative session. He noted that unemployment in Florida has dropped form 12.6 percent to 10.6 percent.
