Flagler College will host the fourth annual Flagler Creates! handmade festival on Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the College’s Ringhaver Student Center.
Flagler Creates! is a handmade festival which offers Flagler students, faculty, staff, alumni and Flagler families the opportunity to display and sell items they have handmade or created. Participant entry fees go to benefit the Flagler College Annual Fund.
There will be a great variety of handmade items offered for sale at Flagler Creates! including books/book-signings, artwork, jewelry, sewn items, clothing, accessories and photography.
The event will also feature Flagler printmaking students demonstrating woodblock printing in front of the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum with a full-sized street roller. Visitors can bring blank t-shirts to be printed with one of several designs for free.
"This is a huge opportunity for local business owners and specialty shop owners to come and discover new and unique handmade items to carry in their stores," said Marsha LeDuke, office manager of the College’s Counseling Center and one of the event’s founders. "We wanted to encourage and give the opportunity to Flagler students, staff, faculty and alumni to exhibit and sell their work and at the same time help the Flagler College Annual Fund with its growth."
The festival will be held in Flagler College's Ringhaver Student Center, 50 Sevilla St., St. Augustine, and is free and open to the public. Event parking will be available in the Markland House parking lot located on Markland Place.
