Assistant Professor of Business Roger Bradley will present his research paper at the fall NEHA conference.

Sept. 30, 2013

Dr. Roger Bradley, assistant professor of business at Flagler College, will present his research paper at the fall conference of the New England Historical Association (NEHA) on October 12, 2013.

Bradley’s paper, titled, “Empty Promises: The Plymouth Colony’s Kennebec Fur Monopoly,” discusses why the fur monopoly in Plymouth Colony became of little value in a short period of time.

“I present evidence that it was in great measure due to the presence of alternative markets for Indian furs,” Bradley said. “Rather than the over-harvesting of beaver in that area.”

The NEHA is an organization dedicated to promoting scholarly interchange and enhancing teaching and scholarship in history. The fall conference will take place at Albertus Magnus College this year.
