“Life Lessons,” a one-night exhibit featuring the culmination of a collaborative art experience between Flagler College art students and clients from the Council on Aging will be held on April 5 at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum.

Conceived and developed by Associate Professor of Art Leslie Robison, the project served as a curriculum component for Relational Art, a course that addressed the social aspects of making art.

“The COA was chosen specifically so that elder community members could share their life experience with college students,” said Robison. “By sharing and comparing experiences, students gained new insight into another generation and in turn provided companionship to Council on Aging participants.”

Last year, Flagler College and the COA partnered to create a similar project titled, The Buddy System: The Art of Companionship, which also resulted in a one-night exhibition that was hosted by the St. Augustine Art Association.

The exhibit will begin at 5 p.m. at the Crisp-Ellert, 48 Sevilla St., St. Augustine. For further information on the exhibition and related programs, please visit the website at flagler.edu/crispellert.
