Flagler College will host the combined Florida Chapters of the J. William Fulbright Association on April 6 in the College's Flagler Room.

Approximately 50 Fulbright scholars from around the world who are currently teaching and researching in Florida will be in attendance, as well as the Deputy Consul General of Spain, Javier Pagalday.

The 9 a.m. session will include an overview of the Fulbright Program for the benefit of faculty, students and staff at Flagler College and is open to all as an opportunity to learn more about what the Fulbright Program offers.

The association is comprised of former U.S. Fulbright scholarship recipients, who will welcome and serve Florida’s current foreign guests in this cultural enrichment event.

In light of the Fulbright Association’s commitment to advance international understanding through its support of the Fulbright Program, the association will participate in the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the landing of the Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon. The commemoration activities will run from April 5-7.

The Fulbright Program is an international exchange program supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world. The program offers teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries for college graduates, faculty and professionals.
