Four Flagler College Theatre Arts students have been nominated for the Irene Ryan Award, as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

These students are Dani Fattizzi and Justin Register, for "Les Liaisons Dangereuses," and Micah Laird and Marcia Vojcsik for "Endgame." Mary Hickox, John Labman and Jon Myers will serve as scene partners and are eligible for an award as best partner.

These students were selected based on their performances in the fall productions by both the theatre department and an independent adjudicator.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for Flagler theatre students to be exposed to the highest level of performance and production of theatre at the college level," said Associate Professor of Theatre Arts Andrea McCook.

The students will be competing at the regional level from Jan. 31-Feb. 4 at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach. Winning at the regional level would allow them to proceed to the national level at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., in April.
