Office changes coming to Flagler campus soon
In an effort to better serve the Flagler College community, several additions and changes will be coming to the St. Augustine campus this fall. The most prominent of these will be the opening of Anderson Cottage as the new Alumni House, located just south of the Proctor Library. The renovated building will serve as a central meeting hub for local and visiting alumni, and will also house the Career Development Center. The aim, Dr. Alan Woolfolk said, is to enhance the overall student experience.
“Those two offices (the alumni office and career services) will complement one another,” said the vice president of Academic Affairs and dean of the faculty. “Alumni will have a new home and can help our students secure jobs, and one day those current students will be alumni. We can better serve the students if they are working together.”
An overview of the upcoming transitions are listed below:
Alumni House and Career Development Center
48 Sevilla Street
The Alumni House at Anderson Cottage, adjacent to the Proctor Library, will be opening its doors this fall. The renovated space will be a central meeting hub for local and visiting alumni and will also house the Career Development Center (which is currently in the Ringhaver Student Center). The Flagler College Volunteers organization will also have an office in this building.
Currently in Wiley Hall; will move to the Ringhaver Student Center, located at 50 Sevilla Street, likely at the end of the semester
Flagler College Honors Program
Will move to 8 Valencia Street, later this semester
The college’s growing Honors Program, now entering its second year, will have a new home in Palm Cottage, currently home to the college’s Counseling Center.
Currently located at 8 Valencia Street; will be moving to 65 Valencia Street later this semester
The college’s Counseling Center will share space with Young Life, an organization focused on youth ministry.
Institutional Research and Effectiveness
Currently located in City Hall; will be moving to the second floor of Wiley Hall at the end of the semester
